Patient

Lesson with David...on Monday

Stravinsky's Study - on the left hand - very patient - he's being awfully picky today he said...but...you can do it, you just have to work on it with patient

A story about Rachmaninoff...who has the greatest technical excellence - one night...people heard that he's practicing Liszt's study in thirds...

Liszt....he'd practice a piece in 1/10 the tempo...very slowly and very patiently...

and of course...these ppl intelligent....

My realization - it's true that artistry has a lot to do with character development

but David says...many artists doesn't have great character....they don't necessarily integrate that excellence to real life. :P

I get to appreciate art with a new kind of insight and affirmation in 2006...knowing Father my Lord.

And lately after meeting my spiritual director Carman Ho =) somehow something was wakened inside me.

Father was waiting and waiting for my own initiative to do some things....He'd never force me to, but He wait patiently.

David taught me a lot about the character when I play Bach's Prelude and Fugue - to polish and play the character of the piece ...

different texture of sound....

....focus...and patiently practice. =)
