Solitude is the garden for our hearts, which yearn for love. It is the place where our aloneness can bear fruit. It is the home for our restless bodies and anxious minds. Solitude, whether it is connected with a physical space or not, is essential for our spiritual lives. It is not an easy place to be, since we are so insecure and fearful that we are easily distracted by whatever promises immediate satisfaction. Solitude is not immediately satisfying, because in solitude we meet our demons, our addictions, our feelings of lust and anger, and our immense need for recognition and approval. But if we do not run away, we will meet there also the One who says, "Do not be afraid. I am with you, and I will guide you through the valley of darkness."Let's keep returning to our solitude.

NTTH vs. Personality Theory
have finally decided on the one course that I need; even though the course load is the same, I feel much more at peace. A lot of stress came from decision making. I have consulted a lot of people and still I am the one who need to find out all the details, and make the final decision. Making decision is stressful, anticipating, and planning for the future is a lot of pressure.
Random thoughts (related thoughts) intruded most often at hours like these, but the mind is also trained to become more alert and fulfilling its fuller potentials.
I'm glad that decision is made and inner peace is stabilizing once again. There're a lot more things that are on the plate that needed to be dealt with, but yeah.....the process is not without joy, peace and support.
I'm praying for greater inner peace and sensitivity so that I can understand and support people around me better. Part of the stress comes from people who care so much about me, I pray, and pray and pray that they will know and experience the kind of peace, joy and love that surpasses all understanding that come only from the cross. I pray for strength and comfort for the hearts that are weary, and for the minds that are burdensome right now. In Christ Jesus, Amen.

Jan. 12, 2011 Nicholette's Birthday
It's such a wonderful night - of precious fellowship time! oh...Agape :)
Yay....another successfully organized event!!! yah! Everyone helps putting it together!! yah
I saw how Nicholette and Sam's lives proved and showed God's love and His soverign power, and they trust & follow.
"Many are called but few are chosen," that is, few prove themselves the chosen ones. The chosen ones are those who have come into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ whereby their disposition has been altered and their ears unstopped, and they hear the still small voice questioning all the tme...
Whether or not I hear God's call depends upon the state of my ears; and what I hear depends upon my disposition. ... " (From "My Utmost for His Highest", Oswald Chambers' Classic Daily Devotional)

A couple things Sam said was so worth remembering, and he is actually modelling this through his life...
He said, he won't act now, before hearing God's guidance...and yes...the Lord is good and faithful
